Once again we have had an amazing array of garden produce on display – with exhibits in nearly all 100 classes! Several new entrants took part this year – and were rewarded with winning prizes for floral displays, photography, home produce and of course the fruit + veg displays.

The show was well supported with good array of craft and plant stalls, and the cake and raffle stalls also went down well. The Memorial Hall is a superb venue for the Summer Show, and whilst not as many came as in previous years, those that did were not disappointed in the exhibits and stalls. Thanks must also go to the DMH staff who provided refreshments throughout the day.

Without doubt the largest marrow ever grown in Dereham made an appearance. Congratulations to Robin + Susan for ‘raising the beast’ and showing us all how much fun growing gigantic vegetables can be!

And from one extreme to the other – congratulations to Jean for presenting a beautiful floral display in a cup and saucer and to Julia for her knitted socks – both exquisite delicate exhibits.

And finally Congratulations to John for coming out on top with his garden and allotment produce and winning two of the coveted trophies this year.
